I don’t know what to write about right now. This is me leading with authenticity and transparency; I don’t have much to say. My day was its normal flavor of crazy, my kids were a little more strong-willed than I care to experience, and the house was a lot messier than I can usually tolerate; but it wasn’t a bad day. No great epiphanies, no “aha” moments that lead to share-worthy writing inspiration, just a normal, nothing spectacular kind of day.
That being said, I am still typing. I am choosing to show up, because I have committed to growing my discipline in creating healthy habits, and I am determined to grow this skill of writing and words that God has chosen to give me. Will this be the blog post that unleashes the grand thesis of my first book? Doubtful. Will I go “viral” and wake up to 1,000 shares? Goodness, I hope not. But for today, even in a mundane, normal, non-spectacular day, I did it. I showed up. Honestly I am pretty happy with that for right now.
As I close this computer, I am hopeful something more eloquent and inspirational will come from me tomorrow, but for tonight the only thought I have to pass on is show up, even when its late and you have every excuse. Just show up.
